1st Annual Pitch Slam
Winner: I Eat My Greens. Finalists: ShroomEats, Amavara, Turveda Tribe, SOULMUCH.
2nd Annual · BRICK, Liberty Station
Held at BRICK in Liberty Station. Winner: Gear Hugger, who went on to win the national Naturally Network competition at New Hope Expo East. Finalists: Coyotas, Chuza, Noleo, Kove.
3rd Annual · Root and Splendor wins
MC Ray Latif of BevNET Taste Radio. Winner: Root and Splendor. Finalists: Iamaranth, RationAle, Brixy, Cien Chiles, Wynn's Kitchen.
4th Annual · Loli's wins
Winner: Loli's. Finalists: BAM, Madly Hadly, Mesa de Vida, Sipwell.
Naturally Rising · New name, same stakes
Renamed from "Pitch Slam" to "Naturally Rising," announced February 2025. Winner: Chasin' Dreams. Finalists: Fierce & Kind, Mooski, Nonaste, Recoup.

Every spring, Naturally San Diego opens the floor to San Diego's most promising natural products brands. Founders pitch live, on-stage, to a panel of expert judges and an audience of 300+, competing for a prize package of cash, products and services. $500K+ awarded since 2021.
This is Naturally Rising. It began as the Pitch Slam and evolved into Naturally Rising, but the stakes, the energy, and the opportunity for brands to level up have stayed the same.
